About the Thales DactyScan84c
The DactyScan84c is a ten-print livescan scanner certified to FBI IAFIS IQS Appendix F at FAP 60, developed by Green Bit and now part of the Thales biometrics line. It captures four-finger slaps and flat thumbs on a 3.2 x 3.0 inch platen and single rolled prints up to 1.6 x 1.6 inches, all at 500 dpi in 8-bit grayscale, running entirely on USB 2.0 bus power with twelve tri-color LEDs guiding the capture sequence. Its MultiScan SDK handles automatic capture start and stop, slap segmentation and sequence checks, latent and halo elimination, and NIST image quality scoring, which is why the 84c has served in civil ID and passport enrollment, applicant background checks, and law enforcement booking worldwide. We sell it new as an authorized Thales partner, with factory warranty and an optional extended annual warranty, and every unit is tested before it ships.
