BiometricSource is the hardware store of TenScan LLC, a Michigan fingerprinting operator. We are not a drop-shipper with a product feed: the scanners on this site are models we deploy, support, and repair in our own operations.
Two ways to buy, one standard of honesty
New, from an authorized Thales partner. We sell brand-new Thales fingerprint scanners, palm scanners, and document readers at manufacturer pricing, with the full factory warranty and optional extended coverage. When you need volume pricing, our quote desk handles it directly with Thales.
Used, graded by operators. Our used stock is largely surplus from our own fingerprinting sites: bought new, maintained under service, retired on schedule. Every unit is tested on a published checklist, graded against a public rubric, photographed, and warrantied. The eBay standard in this market is "powers on, untested." Ours is not.
Who buys from us
Livescan and fingerprinting service providers, police and sheriff agencies, FFLs running fingerprint capture for NFA applications, notaries and banks verifying identity documents, schools and hospitals doing applicant screening, and integrators who need certified capture hardware that works the first time.
What we stand behind
- Certifications named exactly: Appendix F, PIV, or FAP level, only for models on the FBI Certified Products List.
- Real prices wherever we can publish them, and a fast quote desk where we cannot.
- A written warranty on every graded unit (Refurbished and Grades A to C) and 30-day returns.
- Straight answers about compliance, licensing, and state program approval.
