About the SecuGen Hamster Pro 20
The Hamster Pro 20 is a single-finger optical reader from SecuGen, FBI certified for FIPS 201 PIV and Mobile ID FAP 20 image quality. It captures flat fingerprints at 500 dpi with Auto-On finger detection, Smart Capture for difficult fingers, and fake finger rejection, behind a scratch and impact resistant glass platen in an IP54 rated body. It is one of the most widely integrated readers in its class, used in PIV and credentialing programs, banking and customer onboarding, healthcare login, time and attendance, and Aadhaar deployments, for which it is STQC certified. Free SDKs cover Windows, Linux, and Android, and the reader works with Windows Hello. We supply it new with volume pricing by quote, tested before shipment like everything we sell.
