About the Thales DactyScan40p
The DactyScan40p is a compact two-finger scanner from the Thales Green Bit line, certified to FBI IAFIS IQS Appendix F at FAP 45 and FBI PIV certified. It captures two flat fingers or single rolled prints at 500 dpi on a 1.6 x 1.6 inch scanning window, with hand pictograms and twelve tri-color LEDs walking the subject through the sequence. At 500 grams it fits enrollment stations, verification desks, and applicant workflows where full slap capture is not required, and rolled capture self-adapts to speed and direction so untrained subjects still produce usable rolls. Finger liveness detection is available as a software add-on, no hardware change needed. New units are available by quote through our authorized Thales partnership, and we list graded used units when we have them.
