About the Thales Document Reader mDoc Software Activation License
This activation license switches on mobile document reading in Thales AT10K-m family document readers, including the AT10K-m desktop and AT10Ki-m. Once activated, the reader verifies ISO/IEC 18013-5 mobile driver licenses and other mobile IDs presented from a phone: the holder scans a QR code on the reader and the credential data transfers over Bluetooth Low Energy, or taps for NFC transfer. States and countries are rolling out mobile driver licenses now, and this is how an AT10K-m counter accepts them alongside physical passports and cards without new hardware. The reader ships mDoc capable; the license unlocks the feature. The license is delivered electronically after purchase, nothing ships.
