About the Thales Document Reader AT10K-m BLE
The AT10K-m is the current generation of Thales full-page document readers, built for border control, airline, and government counters. A 10-megapixel camera images the whole passport page at 550 dpi in 36-bit color under infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light, and the RFID module reads e-passport and eID chips with the full protocol suite: BAC, PACE, SAC, Chip and Terminal Authentication, and EAC. It also decodes 1D and 2D barcodes from paper and phone screens, including boarding passes. The m in the name means mobile-document capable: with the mDoc activation license, this BLE variant verifies ISO/IEC 18013-5 mobile driver licenses and mobile IDs using QR code engagement and Bluetooth Low Energy or NFC transfer. A removable hood accommodates phones and gloved hands, images are held only in volatile memory, and it was the first document reader to earn an Energy Star certificate. We sell it new as an authorized Thales partner. This unit is non-China manufactured.
