About the Thales MRZ Swipe Reader CR100M
The CR100M is a compact swipe reader from the Thales Gemalto line that captures the machine-readable zone of passports, visas, and ID cards in near infrared per ICAO 9303, and also reads 3-track magnetic stripes to ISO 7811 and AAMVA. It handles 2-line and 3-line ICAO documents, 1-line driving licenses to ISO 18013, and swipes in both directions. Because it is small, USB powered, and needs no external supply, it drops into airline check-in counters, hotel front desks, KYC and visitor management stations, and border posts where a full-page reader is more than the workflow needs. The SDK ships with an AAMVA parser and supports Windows, Linux, and Android. We sell it new as an authorized Thales partner. This unit is non-China manufactured.
